Our History
Since our founding in 1996, we have shepherded strategic projects for some of the highest profile companies in numerous regulated and mission critical industries. We have now delivered over a billion dollars in services for hundreds of clients across thousands of projects, ranging from <$1,000 to >$30 million.
Our very first project involved a critical shutdown/facility upgrade across three buildings, executed against a critical schedule so life-saving product inventory was maintained. This type of engagement and result have been repeated numerous times, and we have successfully transferred our experiences in life sciences to effectively support the data center industry. We are engaged to help deliver the largest projects – from billion-dollar biotech facilities to the world’s largest data centers.
Our industry leadership has been recognized – both in the form of awards by global professional societies and in customer awards. Our philosophy stresses our reliance on teams of highly qualified professionals who possess the depth and breadth of technical excellence, personal accountability, and are continuously learning.

Why CAI?
Fundamentally we exist for one reason: To accelerate our clients’ path to success. Our approach is simple; we help our customers uncover their explicit needs and then put their interests first. We don’t stop working on the project until it’s right. And we’ll do whatever it takes to get there.
We bring top-tier expertise to every stage of a data center project, from creating comprehensive, detailed project plans to turning full-scale production operations, into rigorous asset management, reliability, and sustainability activities. We are your choice:
- Because your project requires planned, managed, and documented high quality testing to exacting standards.
- Because CAI has the bench depth and strength to meet aggressive schedules.
- Because you need high-performance teams working with your interests in mind.
- Because CAI understands the complex data center environment that requires coordination among manufacturers, contractors, service providers, and client interests.
- Because mission critical projects are complex, highly-visible, and carry significant risk.
- Because CAI has extensive experience in commissioning for pharmaceutical companies and can effectively translate that knowledge and skill into data center commissioning.
Philosophically and practically, we believe that quality, cost, and schedule can be mutually reinforcing – trade-offs are not necessary. Short-changing the focus on quality usually means problems down the road that can cost money and delay the schedule. But if quality is built in from the start, then both the project delivery and the operational efficiency objectives can be achieved with a much higher degree of assurance.
We believe that world class data centers are successful due to planning and integration of these three areas: product/process/end-user requirements; people; and equipment/automation/facility technology. All of our services focus on integrating these areas necessary for successful operations in mission critical and energy efficient facilities.
