Mike invested his career of 30+ years in the pharmaceutical industry. Most of his employment was with a large global pharmaceutical company. Currently, he serves as the president of CAI, an engineering consulting company which primarily serves the pharmaceutical industry.  Mike is a Mechanical Engineer with a Master’s in Business Administration. He has a variety of experiences in engineering, operational leadership, engineering leadership, and large-scale project management in diverse global settings.  Mike has delivered major capital projects in the US, Puerto Rico, China, and Ireland. He has led very diverse teams in very challenging settings. He has integrated himself successfully into a variety of cultures and locations and has inspired teams to achieve very difficult goals in a wide variety of opportunities.   Mike has experience in a variety of types of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations including dry product manufacturing, aseptic manufacturing, API manufacturing, and delivery device manufacturing. He has led engineering organizations, operational organizations, and large project organizations across these types of manufacturing areas.

Josh has over 27 years of management and operations experience in the United States Navy as a Submarine Officer and Nuclear Engineer and nearly a decade of experience in Building Commissioning and Management Consulting. During his tenure in the United States Navy, Josh held several operational and executive management level positions culminating in his oversight of annual budgets up to $2.9 million, the daily activities of up to 1200 employees, management and coordination of a comprehensive skills-based training program (including operations and maintenance, safety, personnel qualification, and personal professional development), and the development and execution of fully integrated predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Before joining CAI, Josh was a Senior Associate at a Management Consulting Firm, managing multiple projects involving major organizational strategy and process transformations, including capital program management (up to $200MM in capital budgeting), asset management, organizational efficiency and structure, and in the training environment.

Over the past 13 years, Jennifer Lauria Clark, CPIP has gained a depth of knowledge of the Global Life Sciences and Mission Critical industries. Her career began as a Validation Engineer and has grown from validation support, to Project Manager, Director of Business Development, global role of Executive Director of Strategic Development, and to her current role, Vice President of Sales and Account Management.

She has knowledge and experience of the quality and operational requirements within qualified environments. She has engineering, installation, testing, operations, quality/regulatory requirement and project management experience with a wide variety of systems. She is also experienced with the execution of capital construction projects in pharmaceutical production facilities and existing cGMP manufacturing environments.

She is highly organized with the intuition to strategically plan needs on long-term projects, support her key accounts, and build CAI’s internal marketing and business development teams. Jennifer has strong relationships through the data center industry, which she utilizes to support client and project needs.

Niall is the Global Director of the CAI Data Center PMO with over 20 years’ experience across multiple industry segments. CAI Data Centers provides support for the full life cycle of project delivery and operations in the data center and other mission critical industries. At CAI Data Centers we support our clients to drive Operational Readiness in data centers and more broadly mission critical facilities around the globe. As the Global Director of the CAI Data Center PMO, Niall provides support and guidance to our global Data Center teams to achieve execution excellence. Each client engagement has unique opportunities and characteristics, and Niall helps ensure our clients expectations for delivery, quality, and performance are achieved.

With extensive strategic account / customer relationship management and direct consultative sales experience, Trent serves CAI as Director of Client Engagement for the Data Center Solutions Team in the Americas. His business development background spans roles in the finance, construction and data center industries.

Trent comes to CAI from ComRent Load Bank Solutions, where he managed multiple national accounts and sales responsibilities for 23 states, providing project and testing support during FPT and IST stages of commissioning.

Niall is a highly adaptable and resourceful engineer with experience in the construction and process industries. From his experience to date, he has gained a strong knowledge of mechanical & electrical construction projects and has garnered excellent communication and interpersonal skills enhanced through extensive on-site activities including client meetings and negotiations with sub-contractors. Niall ensures project success through resource mobilization, technical knowhow, a high level of administration and project management skills.

Mr. Calhoun has 18 years of Automation Engineering experience to include process automation, process programming and has logged 15 years as an industrial electrician. Kirk’s current responsibilities are to oversee all personnel, recruiting efforts, project management and daily operations within the Mountain States region encompassing 11 states. Kirk has over 7 years of GMP experience including OSD, nutraceutical and biotech with regards to computer system validation, packaging systems optimization, electrical and instrumentation commissioning/documentation and SCADA configuration. Kirk has also managed multiple projects to including resources, schedules, and budgets. Kirk has significant datacenter commissioning experience to include resource management, power quality reporting and electrical systems testing and has filled the role of datacenter commissioning manager for multiple Microsoft datacenters.

Charlie has over 28 years of experience as a master chief submariner where he excelled as an effective leader in nuclear engineering, operations, human performance, and operational excellence management. After the navy, he served as a principal engineer and client manager for a nuclear insurance company doing inspections at commercial nuclear power sites. He joined CAI in 2019 as a Senior Project Manager with multiple projects in the United States and the Netherlands. He then became a Regional Commissioning Manager and is now an Associate Director where he leads CAI’s Data Center Teams in exceeding our client’s needs while managing the execution of Data Center projects from Design Review to Operational Readiness and Beyond.

Madison Sutton is a 28-year-old Raleigh resident with her husband, Taylor. With professional experience in the Life Science/Biotech industry since 2016, she joined the CAI marketing team as the Marketing Content Coordinator in November of 2020. Maddie graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Public Relations.

Maddie and Taylor have a Silky Terrier named Avery that they adore and a Morkie named Chipper! With a goal to meet everyone in CAI, send message any time (or a picture of your pet)!
